Every year the state of Illinois grow bigger and bigger deer do to the management techniques they have. Only allowing a bow or a shotgun hunt allows the older bucks to reach trophy potential in antler size and in age. I have had the chance in the past to hunt and film in the big monster buck state of Illinois. Even though Illinois is only fourth in the most entries of bucks in the Boone & Crockett club they still manage to produce larger deer every year. The only other states that have more entries in the club are Iowa with 615, Minnesota with 608, and Wisconsin with 589 entries. Illinois has produced 552 entries so far. The Realtree camera’s are hard at work every year in the big buck state of Illinois. Now watch Michael Waddell of Realtree use the grunt, snort and wheeze along with a little rattling to bring in this Illinois monster withe help of his trusty decoy. very good buck in this state. I think you will be impressed with the technique of this fair chase hunt.
