I appreciate the great outdoors, too. As I was driving home from hunting yesterday, I took a different route than normal. I drive past it everyday and never knew it was there! The road is called Pleasent Valley Road. As I was driving along, I came to a dip in the road and there it was, a valley along a creek. It was beautiful and I didn’t know it was there! I’ll be driving that route more often now, that I know it’s there.

I love your tips on hunting these ducks. I’ve been duck hunting for a few years now and have found it’s as addictive as any sport I’ve tried. There is something about that morning sunrise across a slick pond that is just revitalizing to the soul. Thanks again for the tips and good reading.

to catch a gater just hang a line from a tree with chickin on it a the gater will eat the hook a be hooked . so you can pull him in and shoot him a there you go u got a gater…

You are right Shannon but with the drought here in Texas we need to take a lot of does and bucks or there will be too many for the food source available, we have had many fawns abandoned due to the drought as the does can’t support the fawns and themselves too!

Some good info for small acerage food plots. I’d definitely would use your suggestions if I could find an out of the way abandoned homestead to hunt on.

I have enjoyed seeing the pictures of the alligators caught around the Selma area. I didn’t realize alligators were that big around here. Wow!! Sure would like to go on one of these hunts next year.
